Choosing An Ad Network For Your App...

Well, since my last post I've been cut-off from Admob...yes you heard me right. Cut-off completely. I like to play my games, I like to know how well they work, if there's any problems, and I like to promote them by posting my score up and challenging people. BUT a few times I accidentally clicked the ads that popped up. Complete accident. The ads were set in great places, and would pop up right where a start button was and the 'x' is small so it's easy to miss on the full screen ads. But after explaining myself to Google, they didn't allow me to setup admob again.

So I did some research on other ad networks. I decided to go with Revmob and Chartboost. I've heard good things about Chartboost. They only advertise other games, so they are directly speaking to your audience, and they only use interstitials (full screen ads) which apparently bring in way more revenue than banner ads.

So I will keep everyone updated on how well these ad networks work. Revmob does the banner ads, and I think they do interstitials as well.

So far it's been slow going, but it's only been a few days.

I'll post the ad network results in a week and we'll compare them to Google's Admob network...
